Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival in Rovaniemi Arrive in Rovaniemi and transfer from the airport to your magical escape. Vaattunki Wilderness resort is in the beautiful wilderness area, only a 12-minute drive from Santa Claus village and 20 minutes from the city Centre. On arrival at the resort, check in and fit your thermal clothing – the set will keep you warm in the Arctic climate and includes overall boots, woollen socks and gloves. You will be close to the Raudanjoki river and surrounded by lush forests and fresh air. Your home for the next two nights will be in the panorama huts, inspired by natures building materials. Meet for dinner tonight and get to know the rest of the group and your Haman tour leader. Dinner and overnight in the panorama design huts.

Day 2: Santa Claus Village
Breakfast is served in the lodge. Everyone knows that Rovaniemi is home to Santa Claus, and today you have the possibility to meet him yourself. Mid-morning transfer to Santa Claus village and time at leisure. We have allocated three hours in the village – there are many things to do and much to see. We recommend lunch at the village, perhaps at Santamus restaurant (at your own expense). A visit to Snowman world is also recommend (tickets can be purchased on the spot)
Return to the resort, and evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight in the panorama design huts.
Optional extra tour at a supplement: Electric snowmobile excursion: After dinner, a special treat awaits. Get dressed and rearing to go, as you experience an electric Northern lights snowmobile. The electric snowmobile is an innovative new way to experience the Arctic without disturbing the silent peace and wintery nature, a sustainable way of experiencing the Lappish nature! (Excursion takes 3 hours)

Day 3: Rovaniemi to the ICEHOTEL
Breakfast is served at Vaattunki Wilderness resort. Return your thermal clothing set, and soon it is time to say good-bye to Rovaniemi and Finland as you head North to Sweden. The journey takes approximately five hours. It will also be possible to buy something to eat and drink (own expense) during one of the stops.
Arrival at the Ice hotel in the afternoon and check in to your warm accommodation (Kaamos rooms). If you are feeling adventurous and would like to experience a night in the ice hotel – please let us know and we can assist with your request (supplementary charge). Dinner at own arrangement. Overnight in a warm Kaamos room. Dinner options, include the main ice hotel restaurant, or the traditional Homestead restaurant.

Day 4: ICEHOTEL
Breakfast is served at the restaurant. There is much to see and do in the Jukkasjarvi and Kiruna area. We have left today open to enjoy this incredible winter paradise at leisure. Dinner at own arrangement. Overnight in a warm Kaamos room. Dinner options, include the main ice hotel restaurant, or the traditional Homestead restaurant.
Optional extra tour at a supplement: Dogsled tour with wilderness lunch Today a dog sledding tour with wilderness lunch is awaiting you. Your team is driven by an experienced musher. This chosen excursion is 3 hours and will offer you the chance to experience this amazing location from a sled.

Day 5: ICEHOTEL to Tromsø
Breakfast is served at the restaurant. After breakfast you will be transferred to the train station. Board the local train for your journey to Narvik. This train journey is dramatic and will leave you breathless as you travel between two countries, Sweden, and Norway. The journey is approximately three and a half hours. Arrival in Narvik and coach transfer to Tromsø. This route has been nicknamed the ‘Arctic route’. You will have the possibility to buy something to eat and drink before the coach journey from Narvik to Tromsø. You will arrive in Tromsø mid evening. Day 6: Tromsø
Breakfast is served at the hotel. Today is at leisure, the vibrant city of Tromsø offers museums, and a variety of more adventurous excursions. A walk around the city is also recommended, as is Fjellheisen cable car. We will be happy to help plan your day. Lunch at own expense. Light evening buffet and overnight at the Clarion Collection Aurora hotel.
Optional extra tour at a supplement: Arctic fjord cruise on hybrid electric boat. Enjoy this floating restaurant as you admire the beautiful arctic scenery. With an electric engine we will silently cruise into the waters of the Tromsø fjords while admiring the unspoiled nature and wildlife. We will step ashore in a local fishing village and learn about the traditions and lifeline of many Norwegian coastal towns. On board you can order a hot drink and snacks and settle at one of the tables next to our panoramic windows.
Optional extra tour at a supplement: Northern Light Chase with Norwegian charm. An absolute must do when in Tromsø. Search for the Northern lights by small minivan, with local guides – this is one of our highly recommended tours. Return to the hotel and overnight. -
Day 7: Departure
Breakfast is served at the hotel. An airport bus ticket is included for your short bus journey to the airport according to you onward destination. We hope that you have enjoyed this tour and that it has left you with positive memories of Scandinavia, and a truly magical experience of Lapland.
