With Christmas coming closer and closer, there are only a few things that are as cozy as visiting the Christmas markets in Stockholm. You will wander around, getting into the Christmas atmosphere whilst looking for presents and drinking mulled wine! Munching down your favorite crafts, foods and sweets, and anything that you like, is what Christmas is all about. Within Stockholm, you can find everything from modern designer markets to more traditional ones a bit further outside of the city center.
The great thing about this festive tour is that you will not get bored of the Christmas experiences. As part of the trip, you will be able to visit Liseberg park. This amusement park is one of the most popular in Europe, and during your visit it has transformed completely into the Christmas spirit. Whilst you walk around looking for your favorite rides, you can smell the candied almonds and other delicious Christmas goodies, ready for you to grasp.
Had enough of the Christmas spirit? No worries! There are plenty of things to do outside of Christmas markets as well. As part of the journey, you will step aboard a relaxing cruise from Stockholm to Helsinki, enjoying your own private cabin with a sea view. Overall, a great combination for our Christmas fanatics, offering plenty of time for both exploration and relaxation!
Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival in Stockholm You will arrive in the beautiful city of Stockholm and check in at our very comfortable hotel, which will be your base for the next days of the trip. Take some time to familiarize yourself with your surroundings and prepare for unforgettable Christmas themed experiences in the coming days.
- Day 2: Liseberg Park Are you ready for a sensational day of leisure? Today you will step through the gates of theme park Liseberg! The park will be transformed into a snowy fairytale, where you can enjoy all the sparkling lights and rides during this full day at the park. Are you brave enough to drop down 50 meters on the Valkyria? Or would you rather take it easy and walk along to Santa’s workshop? All of this is possible whilst enjoying Christmas foods and drinks. This day offers you excitement and amazement at the same time!
- Day 3: Stockholm Spend your first full day in Stockholm, exploring the highlights of the city. You can do so on your own or choose to do so accompanied by a guide (NOT INCLUDED). Luckily, the city is filled with Santa’s spirit, as there are several Christmas markets inside of the city center to visit, for example in the old town or Djurgården area.
- Day 4: Stockholm Spend your second full day in Stockholm, exploring the highlights of the city. You can do so on your own or choose to do so accompanied by a guide (NOT INCLUDED). Luckily, the city is filled with Santa’s spirit, as there are several Christmas markets inside of the city center to visit, for example in the old town or Djurgården area.
- Day 5: Boat Cruise to Helsinki You will wake up in the morning, all excited to go on your next part of the trip. After eating your delicious breakfast, you will move to the harbor to board your very own cruise to the capital of Finland, Helsinki! Do not worry, you will have a great cabin with a seaside view, and you can explore the ship itself as there are many things to do. You can stroll over the unique promenade, buy your souvenirs at the tax-free superstore, or check out one of the many luxurious shops on board. All these impressions can lead to getting a bit hungry, so do not forget to enjoy your included Grande Buffet dinner and Sea breakfast!
- Day 6: Helsinki Still thinking about all the impressions you got on our amazing cruise ship, you will arrival in Helsinki fully rested. You will make your way to the hotel for the night to check in. Whilst in Helsinki, you can choose to stroll over more Christmas markets (in December). Or, if you prefer you can just to take it easy and enjoy the Finntastic city itself at your own desired pace. But surely do not forget to embrace the beauty of the Helsinki Cathedral!
- Day 7: Departure After a full week of Christmas experiences, it is time to go back home. You will leave your lovely hotel in Helsinki and make your way to the airport whilst still daydreaming about the past days. But do not worry, Santa and friends will gladly welcome you back to the Nordics in the future!
