Hipstoric Södermalm

Bohemian Stockholm- one of the coolest districts in the world according Vogue. SoFo (South of Folkungatan), is a play on the acronym SoHo (South of Houston Street, in Manhattan). Today it is known as the trendiest area in Stockholm. Resembling is to New York’s Brooklyn and London’s Shoreditch, and home to Stockholm’s hipsters, fashion brands, vintage shops and fabulous restaurants and cafés. SoFo is where we will finish. Starting from the beginning, Södermalm is where people we placed when we ran out of space in the Old Town. It holds a lot of great, but horrific history, beautiful views and as if that were not enough, it is also the home of Lisbeth Salander & Mikael Blomqvist, where the now world famous Millennium trilogy all started. Before we take you to SoFo, we will journey through history, witch trails, executions, the life of the working class, all leading us up to today’s Latte Mums’s & Sourdough Dad’s.
