Snowmobile Safari

This tour is perfect for those who have never tried snowmobiling before. First you will get familiar with the snowmobile, have full safety instructions and a driving lesson. After everyone feels comfortable, we will head out for a small journey into the nearby surroundings.

Aurora Snowmobiling

Imagine combining snowmobiling and if lucky enough also the Northern Lights. We will be heading to the open spots, where the chances of seeing the Aurora are the highest. Driving distance depends on the weather conditions; if the sky looks promising, we will stop and admire this beautiful show. We will enjoy the blazing campfire with hot drinks and each other’s company.

Husky Safari & Farm Visit

You will be taught how to handle the sled before you head out for the husky safari, where the huskies will pull your sled through the beautiful winter scenery. Enjoy the excitement of the dogs before the start, and the serene silence once they get to do what they love – run in the snowy scenery. All husky safaris run so that one guest is mushing and the other one is sitting in the sleigh. Rates are based on two people sharing sled unless otherwise stated. Positions will be changed halfway.

Snowshoeing Adventure

On this trek, we will head to the forests and hills surrounding Muotka. The forest is a beautiful winter wonderland, and the silence is like no other. During the trek the guide will share interesting stories and information about Finnish nature and animals. There will be a lunch by the open fire during this calm walking day. This trip is perfect for photographers and nature lovers, as snowshoeing is a true eco-activity! During the trip an outdoor lunch will be served.

Ice Fishing Trip with Snowmobile Sleigh

Spend the day outdoors and learn how the fishing during winter is done. You will learn interesting facts about the life up in the North. We will have a nice snowmobile sleigh ride to the best ice fishing spots. Our guide will teach us how to make some holes through the ice, and then we try and see who the best fisher is. Day includes a tasty lunch by open fire.

Aurora Hunt by Car

Aurora Hunt by Car is one of our well-known aurora gazing activities. We will try to hunt down the Auroras with a car. In good weather, we will head for one of the specific camp spots, to try and photograph this phenomenon. If the weather doesn’t look so promising, we’ll head further out in search of clearer skies. During the trip, the guide will serve some warm drinks and snacks. This relaxing trip is suitable for everyone!

Reindeer Farm Visit

What does a reindeer eat in the fells in wintertime? What does a reindeer’s muzzle feel like? How does a reindeer survive outside in -45 degrees centigrade? It is time to find out! Today You will meet a local reindeer herder and his reindeer! That visit is one of the top memories for our visitors. At the reindeer farm you will learn interesting information about the reindeer and the life of a reindeer herder and Sami culture. This guided trip will be made by car.

Cross-Country Skiing

In the old times, cross country skiing used to be the most common method of transportation, and all Finns have this skill in their blood. There is no more silent method to go through frozen and snowy sceneries than cross country skis. Guide will teach you how to use the skis, and once everyone’s got the hang of it, we will have a nice loop in the surrounding nature. We will be skiing with no hurry, stopping to take pictures and enjoy warm drinks on the way.

Snowmobile Adventure

Snowmobiling is big fun and a common hobby for a local. There is unlimited wilderness, lots of tracks and beautiful sceneries all around you once you get on a snowmobile. All the snowmobiling activities will start with the instructions. We will enjoy lunch by the open fire.

Aurora Snowshoeing

Walking in the dark forests companied by the light of the moon and dance of the northern lights is unforgettable. Warm up by the campfire and wait for the auroras to show up, while warm drinks are prepared on the open fire.

Sámi Culture Adventure

We will head to Lake Inari with our snowmobiles. We are going to visit cultural and historical places like Pielpajärvi, where an old wilderness church is located. During the day we will also visit Siida museum´s open-air museum which shows cultural heritage, architectural heritage and livelihoods of Finland’s three Sámi cultures. We will enjoy a lunch during our day.
