This year’s Aurora Express Tour was led by Michelle, who usually is part of the FIT team but was chosen to head up this small group tour. Michelle did an exceptional job leading the group and creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. Arrival in Rovaniemi

The tour starts in Rovaniemi, a city in the heart of Finnish Lapland, where the group had the chance to meet Santa himself and go reindeer sledding. The beauty of the Finnish wilderness is something that cannot be described in words. From the snow-capped trees to the silence that surrounds you, it’s an experience that everyone should have at least once in their lifetime. And what better way to enjoy it than with good food and good company?

Magical ICEHOTEL

Next up was Jukkasjärvi, home to the famous ICEHOTEL. This is a place where you can truly let go of reality and immerse yourself in a magical winter wonderland. The group had the chance to go snowmobiling and dogsledding, which are both experiences that everyone should try at least once in their lifetime. And the culinary experience? Top-notch! But the real highlight of the ICEHOTEL is the stunning ice rooms, complete with intricate designs and grand chandeliers made entirely out of ice. It’s a place that will leave you feeling both awe-inspired and completely relaxed.

Tromsø – The Arctic Capital

Finally, the tour moved on to Tromsø, where the group had an Aurora cruise dinner and successfully saw the Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights. This is something that many people dream of seeing in their lifetime, and it’s an experience that cannot be put into words. The beauty of the dancing lights in the sky is something that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
