Experience a typical Norwegian winter in the enchanting area of Alta. The city is known as the city of the Aurora and is Northern Norway’s largest town, located in the inner reaches of the Altafjord. The city is surrounded by arctic tundra, mountain plateaus and costal landscapes which create a magical winter paradise.
Itinerary
- Day 1 You will be picked up at Alta airport and transferred to the hotel. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure in Alta and its natural surroundings. You will have dinner at the hotel. The accommodation is a 4-star hotel in Alta.
- Day 2 Today, you will spend the day on a husky dog sled excursion. In the evening your next adventure will be a Northern Lights chase. Dinner is held at the hotel. Accommodation in a 4-star hotel in Alta.
- Day 3 Are you ready for some local culture? Become immersed in the Sámi culture, and get the chance to visit a reindeer farm, with the possibility of a short reindeer sledding tour. Your room for tonight will be an ice igloo. Accommodation in a 4-star hotel in Alta with dinner.
- Day 4 Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Today you can either relax and enjoy the day freely or book an extra activity. We suggest the snowmobile experience, where you will drive through beautiful landscape and wide open plateau and across the frozen inland lakes (not included in the price).
- Day 5 An exciting holiday is coming to a close. After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will be transported from the hotel back to the airport according to your flight schedule.
