Aurora Snowmobiling (Nellim / Inari / Nangu / Juutua / Muotka)

On this snowmobiling tour you will head to surrounding areas in search of the Northern Lights. You will be heading for the open spots, where the chances of seeing the possible Aurora are the highest. Driving distance depends on the weather conditions; if the sky looks promising, we will stop and admire this beautiful show. We will enjoy the blazing campfire with hot drinks and each other’s company.

Husky Safari (Nellim / Inari / Nangu / Juutua / Muotka)

The dogs’ excitement is infectious and as the animals fall silent on the trail, you will realize that this is the only way to see Lapland. You will be taught how to handle the sled before you head out for the husky safari, where the huskies will pull your sled through the beautiful winter scenery. You will be driving in pairs (one driver and one passenger with the possibility to switch spots half way).

Snowshoeing Adventure (Nellim / Inari / Nangu / Juutua / Muotka)

On this trek, we will head to the forests and hills surrounding area. The forest is a beautiful winter wonderland, and the silence is like no other. During the trek, the guide will share interesting stories and information about Finnish nature and animals. There will be a lunch by the open fire during this calm walking day. This trip is perfect for photographers and nature lovers, as snowshoeing is a true eco-activity.

Ice Fishing Trip with Snowmobile sleigh (Nellim / Inari / Nangu / Juutua / Muotka)

We will have a nice sleigh ride by snowmobile to the best ice-fishing spots and you will learn interesting facts about the life up here in the North. We will teach you how to make ice fishing holes through the ice and then in the end of the day we will see who is the best fisher of the group. If we are lucky enough to catch some fish, we might cook it by open fire. If you wish to spend the day like locals, this is the way to do it. Day includes a tasty lunch by open fire.

How about Aurora car trip heading to find the Northern Lights? On this tour, you will spend the evening searching for the Northern Lights, traveling by car, and having some warm drinks to keep you warm.

Reindeer Day with Snowmobile (Nellim / Muotka)

Is there any better way to spend your day than be outdoors and learn about local culture and history? You will feed the reindeer – the curious animals might come and eat out of your hand. You will learn how to lasso a reindeer and a short reindeer sleigh ride is also part of the experience. Lunch is included during the trip. You will be driving the snowmobile in pairs (one driver and one passanger with the possibility to change position half way). The driver of the snowmobile must be at least 18 years of age with a driver’s license valid in Finland.

Meet the Reindeers (Nellim / Inari / Nangu / Juutua / Muotka)

Reindeers and reindeer herding is a big part of the history in Northern Finland. Meet the reindeers is a guided tour that will give you an insight on the way of life of reindeer herding. The guide will tell you more about the Sámi culture and the life of a reindeer. You will feed the reindeer – the curious animals might even come up and eat out of your hand.

Cross-Country Skiing (Nellim / Inari / Nangu / Muotka)

In the old times, cross country skiing used to be the most common method of transportation, and all Finns have this skill in their blood. There is no more silent method to go through frozen and snowy sceneries than cross country skis.The gGuide will teach you how to use the skis, and once everyone’s got the hang of it, we will have a nice loop in the surrounding nature. We will be skiing with no hurry, stopping to take pictures and enjoy warm drinks on the way.

If you prefer a nice gentle walk in a beautiful snowy surrounding, this is the tour for you. We will equip you with snowshoes and poles if preferred. We are going to head for a nice little walk in the surrounding nature. Along the way, our guide will share interesting stories and information about the Finnish nature and animals. This is a perfect way to explore the surroundings in peace.

Aurora Camp (Nellim / Inari / Nangu / Juutua / Muotka)

This activity takes you to the amazing surroundings of the area. You will be comfortably seated in a sledge that is pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. This way you can enjoy the northern sky all the way to the campsite. At the camp there is a hut with an open fire to warm us up on a wintry night of Aurora hunting (the set up of the camp varies depending on the destination). Your guide will also serve warm drinks to keep you heated and cozy. The camp has a minimum amount of light pollution which makes it perfect for viewing the Northern Lights that hopefully show up in the sky.
