Enjoy this self-drive tour to discover Denmark and some of its castles. Starting in Copenhagen, you will reach the northernmost point of Jutland through cities like Aarhus and Kolding and combine nature, culture as well as cities and sea. Fasten your seatbelt and get ready to explore the best of Denmark!

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Copenhagen Accommodation in a centrally located hotel in Copenhagen.
  • Day 2: Copenhagen – Rosklide Departure to the north of Copenhagen, for the castle of Kronborg, also known as Hamlet’s castle. Continue to the historical city of Roskilde. Accommodation in a hotel in Roskilde city centre.
  • Day 3: Roskilde – Odense Today, you will cross one of the longest bridges in the world, Storebæltbroen, connecting the island of Zealand to Funen. Accommodation in a hotel in Odense, the hometown of Hans Christian Andersen.
  • Day 4: Odense – Århus Today you will head towards Denmark’s west coast. Visit Billund, home of the famous Legoland: a miniature world built entirely of Lego. Continue to Århus, the second largest city in Denmark. Accommodation in a hotel in Århus.
  • Day 5: Århus – Skagen Start your journey north to discover Skagen where the land narrows to become a sandbank battered by the waves of two seas. On the way, visit Råbjerg Mile – Denmark’s largest walking cliff. Accommodation in a hotel in Skagen.
  • Day 6: Skagen – Kolding Enjoy the fresh sea air before you continue your journey south to the town of Kolding. Stop in Aalborg, to see one of Denmark’s largest museums of modern art. Accommodation in a hotel in Kolding.
  • Day 7: Kolding – Copenhagen Drive from Kolding back to Copenhagen and enjoy your day at leisure. Accommodation in a centrally located hotel in Copenhagen.
