Helsinki – Vaasa – Stockholm – Oslo – Copenhagen

During this program you will visit four Nordic capitals, enjoy what Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen has to offer, and experience the different atmosphere in each city. And as an added bonus, the seaside city of Vaasa and its unique natural surroundings!

Day 01:                               Helsinki

Welcome to Helsinki! The capital of Finland, is a vibrant seaside city with beautiful islands and green parks, where eastern and western culture meet. Modern architecture, design and high technology have all put their stamp on Helsinki.

Day 02:                               Helsinki

There are many interesting attractions in Helsinki, among them the historical centre, the Presidential Palace, Finlandia Hall, the Sibelius Monument, the Temppeliaukio Church (Rock Church), and the Suomenlinna fortress, listed as an UNESCO World heritage site and located on an island a short ferry ride from Helsinki Market Square.

Day 03:                               Helsinki – Vaasa

Today you board a domestic flight to Vaasa on the west coast of Finland. The seaside city has a rich cultural and maritime history, which make for interesting stories, told in galleries and picturesque local museums. In the sea outside Vaasa is the unique Kvarken World Heritage Archipelago. Vaasa is a bilingual city where 25% of the population speak Swedish as their first language.

Day 04:                               Vaasa – Stockholm

Now you leave Finland for Sweden by flying to Stockholm. The Swedish capital is built on 14 islands and you are never far from the water. Well-preserved medieval buildings stand alongside modern architecture, and just outside the city, the archipelago of 24.000 islands is waiting to be explored. Sights of interest are the Vasa Museum, Skansen Open Air Museum, City Hall, the Old Town with its cobbled streets and much more.

Day 05:                               Stockholm

Today you explore Stockholm further, and we highly recommend a boat tour in the Stockholm archipelago, where there is plenty of options – from shorter tours of a few hours, to day trips and dinner cruises. You can also do an excursion to Drottningholm palace, the residence of the royal family, and surrounded by a magnificent baroque garden.

Day 06:                               Stockholm – Oslo

After breakfast you say goodbye to Stockholm and continue your journey by bus/or train to Oslo, the capital of Norway. On the way you can have a good look at the Swedish countryside passing by your window.

Day 07:                               Oslo

Oslo is beautifully situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord and surrounded by forested ridges. The city is bursting with green areas and water, and packed with art and culture. Oslo offers many well-known sights such as the Vigeland Sculpture Park, Akershus fortress and interesting museums like the Viking Ship Museum and the Munch Museum.

Day 08:                               Oslo – Copenhagen

After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, you spend the morning at your leisure. Enjoy more of everything that Oslo has to offer, before you depart from Oslo by ferry to Copenhagen in the afternoon. Overnight on board.

Day 09:                               Copenhagen

In the morning, you arrive in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. In this charming city a thousand years of history awaits you in the medieval streets; the same streets walked on by generations of the world’s oldest royal family, and which have inspired artists for centuries. The city offers many attractions such as Tivoli, the statue of the Little Mermaid, the Gefion Fountain, the Royal Palace Amalienborg and much more.
