Along the Northern Islands
6 nights / 7 days
Tromsø / Sommarøy / Kvaløya / Senja
Northern Norway is by far the largest and most sparsely populated part of mainland Norway and covers more than a third of the country. Northern Norway has been inhabited for thousands of years, due to its relatively warm climate, ice-free harbours, and excellent fishing. This is the land of the Northern lights and the midnight sun. The light will play an essential role in your experience in the north. The nights in Summer are long and bright, and in high summer north of the Arctic Circle, the sun doesn’t dip below the horizon at all. On the other hand, winter nights are long and cold, but far from being as dark as you might think. The northern lights will dance across the sky. Go kayaking or hiking in the midnight sun or go skiing and dogsledding under the northern lights, if you want to experience magical nature, you must go along the northern islands!
