Day 01: Arrival
Welcome to the land of the lakes. You will find out the reason for this name during the lovely bus tour to Koli. To stretch your legs we will stop in Lahti with the possibility to drive up the ski jump. What a lovely view!
Day 02: Koli
We set off to the Koli mountains to see the lovely sunrise, a unique and beautiful experience. In the afternoon you have the possibility to relax in the spa area of the hotel and enjoy the beautiful nature. Or you can go to Lieksa on the other side of the Pielinen lake and shoot the rapids with a traditional wooden boat.
Day 03: Valamo
Today we dig into the Finnish history by visiting the monastery Valamo, a place filled with interesting history. Afterwards it is time to relax. At our accommodation for the next few nights, a dreamlike wellness area awaits you. Do you dare to jump into the refreshing lake directly in front of the door?
Day 04: Linnansaari boat tour
After breakfast we start our tour to the Linnansaari national park with a boat made of wood. We will pick one of thousands of islands in the middle of the lake and explore it by foot, taking a picnic break before we return. For the afternoon, a visit to Savonlinna is planned. There we visit the fortress Ovanlinna. Or how about a visit to the famous opera festivals in the evening?
Day 05: Boat tour and travel to Helsinki
The capital is calling! But before we enter the fray we will take it easy. On a traditional Finnish church boat, we row through the beautiful lake scenery. The only thing more impressive than the lovely scenery is the world’s biggest wooden church. Our tour guide will tell us fascinating stories and show us delightful details. In the evening we arrive in the Finnish capital.
Day 06: Helsinki and departure
Helsinki – hardly any Nordic city has such a thrilling history as the relatively young capital of Finland. Of course a visit to the cathedral can’t be missed on our sightseeing tour. Afterwards transfer to the airport for your return home.
