Day 5: Oslo

Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure. We recommend the Oslo Panorama Sightseeing tour, a 2 ½ hour tour though the central parts of the city. Guiding is done in seven different languages through individual headphones. The tour stars in the city centre and continues with a short walking tour of Vigeland Sculpture Park and a photo stop at the Holmenkollen Ski Jump before ending at City Hall.

The flåmsbana passes through wild and beautiful scenery with waterfalls and steep mountain sides. The railway line descends from a height of 900 meters down to the valley of Flåm (Flåm is a sidearm of the Sognefjord). There is no other adhesion railway in the world running on normal tracks that is so steep over a long distance.
