The fjords, mountains and the extraordinary summer light will leave you, we are sure with memories to last an eternity.

Day 1: Arrival in Bergen

Arrival in Bergen according to your own itinerary. The Norwegian Western capital is beautifully situated surrounded by seven mountains. They provide recreational opportunities that are frequently taken advantage of by the city’s inhabitants, as well as increasingly by visitors. Bergen offers many well-known sights such as the UNESCO World Heritage Bryggen Hanseatic harbor, Fløyen mountain and the fish and seafood market.
Accommodation at Bergen Børs Hotel (1 night)

Day 2: Bergen – Lofthus

After breakfast depart Bergen and travel east to the picturesque Hardangerfjord. Lofthus is an orchard of Hardanger with fantastic views to the Folgefonna glacier. Visiting Lofthus gives you a good starting point for many exciting experiences. The scenery makes it easy to understand why Lofthus was one of Edvard Grieg’s favorite haunts. Spring reveals a pink and white symphony of apple blossoms contrasting sharply with green hills and snow-capped mountains, with the fjord as a backdrop. Lofthus is situated on the eastern shore of Sørfjorden, an arm of the Hardangerfjord.
Accommodation at Hotel Ullensvang (2 nights)

Day 3: Lofthus

Day 4: Lofthus – Sogndal

Breakfast at the hotel and continue exploring Norway’s fjord area. You will drive in Northern direction and will reach Sogndal, a village beautifully situated by the Sognefjord – Norway’s longest and deepest fjord. This area is considered one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. Sogndal is a natural starting point for both indoor and outdoor activities such as swimming and glacier walks. From Sogndal, several exciting places of interest are within easy reach. The Jostedalsbreen glacier, stave churches, the Flåm Railway and the Sognefjellet mountains are highlights nearby.

Day 6: Loen – Norangsfjord

Today, travel via the Geirangerford to the village of Øye by the Norangsfjord. Here you will find (in our opinion) one of the most distinct hotels in all of Norway. The 27 rooms, all of which are individually furnished with carefully selected antiques, are named after notables who have stayed here: Kaiser Wilhelm, King Oscar, Queen Maud and Princess Victoria; the authors Karen Blixen, Knut Hamsun and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle; the composer Edvard Grieg, playwright Henrik Ibsen and the explorer Roald Amundsen, to mention but a few.

Day 8: Norangsfjorden – Skodje
