On this tour you will drive around the island and discover Iceland’s spectacular nature. Starting in the West, heading North, discovering the East, and spending the last days in the South, you will get to see a lot of this beautiful island. Let Iceland fascinate you!

Day 01: Arrival in Reykjavik

Arrival in Reykjavik, according to your own itinerary. The capital of Iceland has a lot to offer. Spend your day with city sightseeing or discovering the nature around. Ask us for our list of activities in Icelands capital.

Day 2: Reykjavik – Borgarnes

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you have the opportunity to visit the Thingvellir National Park on your way from Reykjavik to Borgarnes.

Day 3: Borgarnes – Akureyri

Breakfast at the hotel. On your way to Akureyri you will be able to see the dwelling place of elves and trolls – the Glanni waterfall on the Norðurá River. Or you can enjoy the view over Borgarfjodur while standing on top of Grabrok, the largest of the three craters in a short volcanic fissure near to the road.

Day 4: Akureyri: Possibility for Whale Watching or visiting the nearby areas

Breakfast at the hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Use the day to explore Akureyri, Iceland’s fourth biggest city, or the area around. In Laufas, a little town nearby, you can see the old rectory as part of the Akureyri Museum. It is considered to be the prototype of Icelandic architecture. If you would rather spend the day on a boat you might want to consider whale watching in the city located in the North of Iceland. The city Aukureyri has a lot to offer as well, so you will find an activity that suits you.

Day 5: Akureyri – Myvatn

Breakfast at the hotel. The day will bring you to Myvatn, a lake in a beautiful area of active volcanism. There you can swim in Myvatn’s Nature Baths, walk around the crater or glaze at the volcanic rock formations. On your way there you should plan a visit to Godafossen, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland.

 Day 6: Myvatn – Neskaupstadur

Breakfast at the hotel. Start your day with a walk in Myvatn, before your journey continues today to the East of Iceland. Neskaupstadur is located directly on the fjord Norðfjörður, with a nature reserve right next to it, where you can see the so-called Easter Cave (Páskahellir).

Day 7: Neskapstadur – Höfn

Breakfast at the hotel. Continue on Iceland’s East and take the road South to Höfn í Hornafirði. Don’t miss making a stop to see the spectacular Litlanesfoss, or to visit Seydisfjördur with its wooden houses from the 19th century.

Day 8: Höfn – Kirkjubæjarklaustur

Breakfast at the hotel. Use your time today to visit Jökulsarlon, which is considered to be one of the natural wonders of Iceland. The glacier lagoon is situated on the edge of Vatnajökull National Park, and offers an incredible view over its luminous blue icebergs.

Day 9: Kirkjubæjarklaustur – Reykjavik

Breakfast at the hotel. Don’t miss out on the opportunity of seeing the Kirkjugólf basalt columns in Kirkjubæjarklaustur. On your way back to Reykjavik it is recommended to visit Kerið, a volcanic crater lake. Or end your trip with a relaxing bath in Grindaviks Blue Lagoon.

Day 10: Departure from Reykjavik

Breakfast at the hotel and departure at own leisure.
